equals

Identity is the NavigationPosition alone. The Layer is a rendering handle that is attached later, when a marker is actually created, so including it would mean a freshly built instance could never equal an already rendered one - which is exactly what SelectionUpdater.setSelectedPositions(int[], boolean) compares in its additive path.
